My interest in health began in earnest as the role of food as medicine became very clear during my first pregnancy and then with my first child. My colicky newborn graphically illustrated the concept that what you eat can make a huge difference in how you feel and what your body can tolerate. With each new family member, the message became more clear: food matters! After serving as my family’s nutritionist for over a decade, I decided to combine my passion for food, gift for healing, and desire to help others through nutrition.
I hold a B.S. in Resource Economics from Cornell University and a Masters of Science in Integrative Health and Nutrition from Maryland University of Integrative Health. I am a Licensed Dietician Nutritionist (LDN) in Maryland, a Licensed Nutritionist in D.C., and a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS).
I offer functional nutrition counseling that is rooted in a simple and compelling belief: the human body has powerful healing capacities that, when supported, can bring a person to their optimal state of health.
I have done advanced training in the following areas of interest:
Small Intestinal Bowel Overgrowth (SIBO) with Dr. Alison Siebecker
Nutrigenomics
Reversal of Cognitive Decline (ReCode) with Apollo Health and Dr. Dale Bredesen
